The 2014 Complex Geo-Computation andVisualization SummerSchoolinWuhan University

Geo-Computation is the latest technical platform for the geo-spatial analysis and modeling. Different from the traditional spatial analysis and manipulation methods, geo-computation emphasizes on the principle of combining mathematical modeling with simulation experiments. It’s a deeper level extension of quantitative geography. Frontier researches on complex geo-computation and visualization focus on the quantitative or non-quantitative abstraction and comprehensive analysis on geographical problems. By using high performance computing tools and software, it aims to handle complex spatial analysis tasks on very large datasets, then supply efficient visual and interactive modes to display those geographical problems based on geo-visualization methods.

The 2014 Complex Geo-Computation and Visualization Summer School is organized by School of Resources and Environmental Science, Wuhan University. The summer school will invite top level experts and researchers, aim at the hot topics on complex geo-computation and visualization problems, and last for seven days.The summer school is opening globallytothosewhoareinterestedinandhavingrelevant background.No tuition fee is needed. Moreover, we compensate travelling and living fees for every registered applicant.
