The development of space-time data analysis methods is an active research domain in the field of geographic information science (GIS). At the same time, the coupled space-time attributes of socioeconomic phenomena are difficult to be represented and examined. Both GIS and human geography are faced with the challenges of dealing with the temporal dynamics of geographic patterns and spatial dynamics of socioeconomic process across scales and dimensions. This talk will illustrate a series of concept design, methods, and implementations carried out by the speaker and his collaborators.
報告人介紹：
美國博林格林大學區域發展中心（美國商務部經濟發展局高校中心）空間經濟分析研究室主任，地球、環境與社會學院的研究生導師和美國國家科學基金評審員。美國地理學會區域發展與規劃委員會發展中國家主席，美國地理學會亞洲委員會東亞主席以及美國地理學會中國委員會理事。主要從事空間計量經濟學/時間地理信息系統/開源軟件的研究。博士論文時空動态對比獲得美國國家科學基金博士研究資助獎。美國高校經濟發展學會研究分析獎2011年得主（第一名）與美國地理學會區域發展和規劃傑出青年學者獎2012年得主。著名開源時空分析軟件STARS和Pysal的開發者之一。合作主編5本國際學術雜志專輯（包括SCI和SSCI雜志）。發表22篇英文期刊論文和著作章節以及9篇英文書評。Stochastic Environmental Research & Risk Assessment (SCI雜志)的副主編，同時是International Journal of Applied Geospatial Research, Journal of Ecosystem & Ecography和Journal of Earth Science & Climatic Change的編委和20本國際學術雜志的審稿人。
